PINE BLUFF—The Southern Good Faith Fund (SGFF) Business Development Center (BDC) is excited to offer another in a series of “Networking Breakfast” events on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

The discussion topic will focus on the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, which provides free tax return filing for qualified residents in Jefferson County. The event will be held at SGFF’s Pine Bluff office located on 2304 West 29th Avenue. Everyone is asked to bring business cards to promote your business and your profession.

Blake Williams, special projects manager with SGFF, will be the featured presenter. He will share information on the Earned Income Tax Credit. Income eligibility goes up to over $40,000, depending on family size. In addition, participants will hear about Child Tax Credits.

“Come out and learn how the VITA program is putting more money in the pockets of individuals and families,” says Kim Jones Sneed, acting program manager of the BDC. “Get details on how you can get the most of your tax credits.”
