The City of Arkadelphia is the first recipient of the Arkansas Entrepreneurial Community of the Year Award presented by the Arkansas Small Business Development Center (ASBDC). The award recognizes Arkadelphia’s organized efforts to assist and encourage entrepreneurial activities.
Arkadelphia’s community and economic development strategy includes nurturing new and existing small businesses. A central component of these efforts is the completion of the Rural Entrepreneurship Initiative survey.

Southern Financial Partners of Arkadelphia will receive $750,000 in loan funds from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Intermediary Relending Program.
The money is part of nearly $5.7 million in revolving loan funds that the USDA is investing in nine business development organizations across the United States.

Nine proud homeowners are settled into their brand new condominiums at Lucas Gardens. Not only are they first-time home buyers, they are all over 40.
The residents of the project are clients of Group Living Inc., and they are fulfilling Group Living’s goal to help developmentally disabled persons reach their highest level of independence.
