Late last year, we opened a branch in the community of Gurdon. In addition to offering a full suite of services ranging from traditional bank products and services, we have financial empowerment services available such as financial education, credit counseling, and other options to help families grow. We also have bilingual staff available to assist our Spanish speaking customers!

Hamburg, Ark.
In February, we announced our intention to acquire Farmers Bank in Hamburg. Located in Ashley County, and just down the road from our Eudora branch, Hamburg will be a perfect addition to the Southern Bancorp family. We’re excited about joining the community! Click here to learn more.

Southern Bancorp’s 501(c)3 development partner, Southern Bancorp Community Partners (SBCP), has a great new website dedicated to lending, financial empowerment, and public policy. Working with Southern Bancorp Bank, SBCP provides a variety of business and consumer loans, as well as an array of services designed to help you grow, including credit and housing counseling, financial education, and more. The new website even features a Learning Center where you can download tools for educating yourself or teaching your own financial education courses, and best of all, it’s free!
