The Arkadelphia Area Chamber of Commerce, Clark County Industrial Council and Small Business Development Center at Henderson State University are teaming up to bring back “Business After Hours.”

The event will allow residents of the area to visit various area businesses and visit with each other,” said Lonnie Jackson of HSU and Paul Shuffield of Southern Bancorp. They said the idea came from a recent survey conducted by the CCIC, and the results showed area residents were interested in more networking opportunities.

The first Business After Hours will be Tuesday , April 25, from 5-6:30 p.m. at 629 Main St., the former location of Antonio’s, Shuffield said. Finger foods and iced tea will be provided. “It’s a large space that will allow everyone to mingle and visit,” Shuffield said. “It will be a great opportunity to meet some folks.”

If the evening is successful, it will be repeated every other month to start, the two said. “We’ll have a sign-up sheet there for people to sign up to host the next one,” Jackson said.
