George Miles

Past Program Director, Rural LISC (Local Initiatives Support Corporation)

As LISC’s Past Program Director, George Miles led the organization’s comprehensive community development work in the Mid-South region, managing a portfolio of 12 CDCs in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi; as well as implementing strategies to invest loans, grants, and equity into targeted areas to help build both physical projects and nonprofit organizational capacity. Miles previously served as the Executive Director for Community Development Capital in New Orleans and as a Senior Business Manager for Fannie Mae in Washington, DC. Miles earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Arkansas at Monticello and his Masters of Business Administration from Tulane University.
