Arkadelphia, Ark. –

U.S. Congressman Mike Ross, center, cuts a ribbon to recognize the re-paving of Skyline Drive. Ross was accompanied by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials; County Judge Ron Daniell; Arkadelphia Mayor Chuck Hollingshead, left; Caddo Valley Mayor Alan Dillavou, right; Bill Wright, president of Southern Bancorp, and Fred Phillips, chair of the Tourism Subcommittee of the Clark County Strategic Plan, the non-profit organization that asked for the project. Six miles of the road that runs adjacent to DeGray Lake was paved last month. The $2.2 million project was funded completely by the federal government under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, which Ross voted for earlier this year.
