Honor students from Central High School, DeSoto School and KIPP School were recognized at a reception hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Helena – West Helena. After a brief meet – and – greet period and dinner, the students received gifts, certificates of excellence and U.S. Savings Bonds donated by Helena National Bank and Southern Bancorp. The Honorable Judge Brian Miller was the keynote speaker for the evening. Miller encouraged the students to “not be afraid to try, believe in your dreams, and always keep learning.”
