Community leaders of Sparkman, Arkansas have raised more than $42,000 for a scholarship program that will pay college tuition for the town’s high school graduates. Overall, the state has three programs that pay for all or part of their respective high school graduates’ college tuition: El Dorado, Arkadelphia and Sparkman. Murphy Oil Corp. funds the El Dorado Promise, and the Ross Foundation and Southern Bancorp fund the Arkadelphia Promise.
